That's when the CMJ/Rock Hall Fest will take place, a collection of thirty bands that will be playing at venues throughout the city. I was a fan of it all, from their catchy alternapop classics - unabashedly soaked in derivativeness -to their nasty, conceited off-stage antics. And a decade after their peak of success, it looks like brutish attitudes have withered one bit. Guitarist Noel Gallagher's pissed off about Sony's decision to release "Lyla" as the first single from their upcoming album Don't Believe the Truth. Gallagher had other plans: "It's a fucking scandal that as the leader of this group I don't get to pick what our fans hear first." Oh, Noel.
